The landscape of our softball and baseball fields is changing by the day! A project to construct four dugouts, two each for the softball and football fields is well underway and by the looks of it will be completed before the seasons start in the Spring. Last year, coaches recognized when visiting other high school fields that most area high schools had dugouts so they started a Friends of Frontier Baseball & Softball committee designed to raise funds in the community to construct these dugouts. This effort was managed by Chris Williams, Varsity Baseball Coach and Carrie Fydenkevics, varsity softball coach. We must also recognize and say thanks to Brett Gewanter, one of our baseball coaches and Director of Operations for Deerfield Academy who is providing the labor through his workplace.
