Last fall the Red Hawks football team succeeded in winning the league title and making it to the playoffs. The Hawks ended the season with a solid record of 9-2. “This year the team’s goal is to win playoff games and make it to Western Mass,” according to junior running back Stevie Worthley. “Our biggest competitor this year will most likely be Turners Falls, mainly because of their excellent running attack. “We are also anticipating playing Hoosac Valley in post-season if we make it there and beating them for the first time in years,” says Worthley. “We are determined to go all the way this year.” The guys have quite a few seniors on the team along with many talented.underclassmen who have done great things so far this year. The expectations are high and it will be an exciting season for the Hawks. At this time, the team’s record 4-0 and they are working hard to try to have an unbeaten season!
